On a
June day in 1999, I was walking by my house on Eastern Promenade
on Casco Bay in Maine at sunset when I turned around to look at
the islands out in Casco Bay. Although it had been a steamy sunny day, the islands were obscured by a thick
blanket of pearly gray fog. As the sun went down behind me, the
fog turned shades of pale lavender and pink and floated above a
shiny turquoise sea.
This
collection is made up of grey and cream freshwater pearls with
lavender, turquoise and silver glass beads.
