Summer Storm
In
2003, I moved to southeastern Massachusetts after living in
Rochester, New York. I was so happy to be back by the ocean that
I went to the beach every day as long as it was not raining. I
spent hours walking the beach and swimming in a quiet cove. One
day in July, a storm front rose over Martha’s Vineyard to the
southeast and slowly took over the sky, the retreating sun cast
shadows of intense purple, pink and blue gray as the storm moved
northwest over Buzzard’s Bay.
These stones are tanzanite, amethyst, rhodolite garnet, rose quartz, iolite
and dyed freshwater pearls.
